Starting December 18, just in time for Christmas and New Year’s, Lidl shoppers can enjoy their very own champagne dreams and caviar wishes with the retailer’s premium imported caviar, available for just $16.99 per a half ounce jar for a limited time.

The certified, sustainably-produced caviar is extracted from white sturgeon and imported from Northern Italy. White sturgeon caviar is considered by connoisseurs to be the most delicate and elegant of all, and Lidl’s sustainable roe is harvested fresh, which means that less preservation salt is used than when harvesting typical caviar. This allows for a much fresher, more natural and flavorsome taste.

A favorite at holiday events that usually comes with a price tag well into the hundreds, caviar is the ultimate party pleaser! Best served when removed from refrigeration for at least 15 minutes before serving time and can be enjoyed by itself or as part of a canapé. Lidl’s Master of Wine, Adam Lapierre, recommends pairing the caviar with bright and dry sparkling wines over the holiday season, such as Lidl’s Comte de Brismand brut Champagne available at Lidl for just $19.99. A festive fizz, with notes of pear, apple and toast and the perfect pairing for caviar.
