LIDL US TO CELEBRATE GRAND OPENING OF NEW STORE IN GLEN OAKS, NY

Today, Lidl US announced that it will open a new store on Wednesday, September 4 in Glen Oaks, New York. The store is located at 255-01 Union Turnpike, Glen Oaks, New York 11004. Local leaders will welcome Lidl US to the community at a ribbon cutting event starting at 7:30 a.m., which will be followed by a grand opening celebration featuring special offers for shoppers. The store will operate daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The new location is part of Lidl US’ growing store network in the Southeastern New York area. Other nearby Lidl US stores in New York include locations in Fresh Meadows, Elmhurst, New Hyde Park and more. This Lidl US store will create approximately 40 new jobs. A 2024 Top Employer, Lidl US provides comprehensive benefits, including healthcare for all full-and-part-time positions, regardless of hours worked per week. Starting pay for all store associates will be $19 per hour.

Grand Opening Celebration Details 

At the grand opening event, the first 100 customers in line before the store opens at 8:00 a.m. will receive a special gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each. Shoppers can also sample Lidl US’ award-winning assortment and take advantage of special giveaways.

As part of its commitment to support the community, Lidl US will be making a donation to the Food Bank for New York City, which aids families in the area, including Queens County. Lidl US will donate $1 for each shopper who signs up for the myLidl app and sets Glen Oaks as their store throughout opening weekend.
