LIDL US TO CELEBRATE GRAND OPENING OF NEW STORE IN WASHINGTON, DC

Today, Lidl US announced that it will open a new store on Wednesday, September 4. The store will be located at 4000 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Suite 10, Washington, District of Columbia 20016. The store will operate daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Lidl US’ ribbon cutting event will begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by a grand opening celebration featuring special offers for shoppers.

The new location is part of Lidl US’ growing store network in the Washington DC metro area. Other nearby Lidl US stores include locations in Columbia Heights, Skyland and more. This Lidl US store will create approximately 35 new jobs. A 2024 Top Employer, Lidl US provides comprehensive benefits, including healthcare for all full-and-part-time positions, regardless of hours worked per week. Starting pay for all store associates will be $19 per hour.

Grand Opening Celebration Details 

At the grand opening event, the first 100 customers in line before the store opens at 8:00 a.m. will receive a special gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each. Shoppers can also sample Lidl US’ award-winning assortment and take advantage of special giveaways.

As part of its commitment to support the community, Lidl US will be donating to the Capital Area Food Bank. Lidl US will donate $1 for each shopper who signs up for the myLidl app and sets Cathedral Heights as their store throughout opening weekend.
